9.1% of Seminole County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Seminole County recorded an unemployment rate of 9.1% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 856 people out of the 23,798 living in Seminole County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Seminole County has increased compared to the 8.6% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Seminole County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 5%.

Of the 8,507 people who had a job during that time, 4 were employed in the Armed Forces and 8,503 belonged to the civilian labor force.
