Dan Pruitt had a pair of homers as Oklahoma Baptist ran wild over Pittsburg State on Saturday winning 21-4 in seven innings at UCO's First Pitch Classic.

In all, the Bison had five players record home runs while Trey Furrey and Gabe Irwin each tripled. On the pitching front, OBU was much better on this day as Brek Galbreath got the win going five innings, fanning five and inducing seven groundouts. Will Duncan then closed the final two frames and allowed just a run while striking out two and getting three fly-ball outs.

OBU jumped out to an 11-1 lead after three innings. Highlighting the first was RBI singles from Kade Self and Furrey. A frame later, Self added a two-run shot to centerfield while Isiah Lissade added a solo home run of his own.

Then in the third, Pruitt sparked that frame with a three-run shot to left-center field. Pruitt ended up with five RBI on the day and drew two walks.

The Bison's offense had other big-time hits against PSU. Troy Shields lifted a ball over center that scored Furrey in the fourth while Self delivered a bases-clearing double later that inning. Self ended the game with six runs batted in, a game-high.

Two innings later, Pruitt and newcomer Jayden Shafer capped off the field-leaving hits with a two-run and solo shot, respectively. Those tallies moved the scoreboard to 21-4.

As for Galbreath, he got out of trouble a few times and allowed no more than a run in three of five innings pitched while holding the Gorillas scoreless in the first and third innings.
