Aggies women's basketball concluded their final road game of the 2022 season, traveling to Langston, OK, in a conference showdown.
In the first quarter of the contest, the Aggies would keep it close with the Lions; at the 4:35 mark, the Aggies would take a one-point lead of 8-7. The Lions would close out the period going on an 8-0 run.
Sophomore Bene Butler would make a great two-pointer in the second quarter while being fouled. Butler would drill the free throw making the score 11-15 Lions. Junior Johanna Quintero would nail a 2-pointer for the final bucket of the 2nd quarter, making the score 25-28 Lions. The Aggies did manage to outscore the Lions 17-13 in the second quarter.
Coming out of halftime, the Aggies would try and take the lead. Senior Tateum Jones would get a pleasing two-pointer to get the Aggies within 2 points, 32-34 Lions.
The Lions would go on a 10-0 run to push their lead further away from the Aggies with a final score of 66-56 Lions.
