The Oklahoma Baptist women's cross country team raced against some swift-footed competitors during the NCAA Central Regional Championships on Saturday morning.
Five Bison finished in the top 150 for the women's 6k run to boost the green and gold to a 16th-place finish with 436 points amongst 35 teams.
Sophomore Sophia Strange led OBU with a time of 21:22.8 at a 10:36.0 3,000-kilometer split for a 25th-place finish.
Following Strange were seniors Kayla McGruder (22:15.5, 63rd) and Olivia Lynch (22:47.4, 96th). Then came freshman Emily Coffee (23:06.6, 112th) and sophomore Jadyn Pavlik (23:43.1, 140th).
Out of 230 runners, the five finished in the top 150 and ran an average time of 22:47.1.
Displacers for Oklahoma Baptist were Jade Robinson (24:32.0, 174th) and senior Alexzandria Jaimz (25:24.2, 196th).
