The end of the spring semester was capped off with excitement by the Bison women's track and field program. Over the course of the three-day GAC Championship, held at OBU, the green and gold notched a record-setting 255 points and won their second conference title in the process.

Among the accolades: Ford Mastin was named Coach of the Year; Emma Downing garnered Most Valuable Player after a pair of victories and runner-up finishes; and there were several records broken.

In the 10,000 meter race, Sophia Strange and Downing ran first and second, respectively, each breaking the previous GAC meet record (37:18.72). Strange clocked a 36:49.97 while Downing followed in 36:50.15.

Mary McKey added another meet record with her 1:00.76 performance in the 400-meter hurdles race. Plus, Anisha Henderson won the long jump with a GAC record 19-6.75. Additionally, for Downing, she was victorious in the 1,500-meter run and 5,000.

In relay events, the Bison won the 4x400 and the 4x100.
