Oklahoma Panhandle State University has announced Brigitte Brown as the new Director of Admissions. Brown, a native of Gig Harbor, WA, earned a Bachelor of Science in Equine Science from Colorado State University and a Master of Science in Science Education from Texas A&M University.

As the Director of Admissions, Brown is responsible for overseeing the university’s recruitment efforts and working with prospective students to help them navigate the admissions process. She will also develop and implement strategies to increase enrollment and improve retention rates.

Brown was previously the Admissions Counselor at Panhandle State. Before OPSU, Brown was an Instructional Designer and a Veterinary Teaching Tech at Texas A&M University.

“We are excited to have Brigitte as the Director of Admissions. Her passion for education and student success is evident in everything she does,” said Vice President of Academic & Student Affairs, Dr. Theresa Billiot. “We look forward to working with her to continue to build a strong and vibrant community of learners at OPSU.”

Brown, for her part, said she is excited to begin her new role and to work with OPSU’s students, faculty, and staff. “I am honored to have been selected for this position and to have the opportunity to build relationships with current and prospective students.” Brown will also lead the Student Ambassadors.
