From 1998 to 2006, she worked as a clinic nurse at the Norman Clinic of Norman Heart and Vascular Associates, and from 1995 to 1999, she served as a registered nurse for the United States Naval Reserve, PRIMUS unit, at Tinker Air Force Base. She served as a staff nurse for Norman Regional Hospital from 1994 to 1998.

Kennedy earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Oklahoma. She later earned a Master of Science in nursing education from OBU.

Dr. Larinee Dennis, dean of business, health science and education, is pleased to welcome Kennedy to the faculty and is grateful for the knowledge and expertise she brings.

“I am delighted that Kathleen Kennedy has joined the outstanding faculty in the School of Nursing,” Dennis said. “Her nursing experience coupled with her deep commitment to Christ make her an excellent fit at OBU. Her enthusiasm to pour into the next generation of Christian nurses is contagious and I have no doubt that OBU students will excel under her leadership.”
