Partner routines, tumbling, pyramids. Oklahoma Baptist’s STUNT team turned in two impressive results against Oklahoma State and Oklahoma City University on Friday at the Noble Complex.

The Bison’s record improved to 7-1 after 23-5 and 24-2 results over the Cowgirls and Stars, respectively.

“Oklahoma State is the eight-time reigning Club National Champion. It’s always a good feeling to come in and play the highest levels and have success against them,” Head Coach Jessica Stiles said.

By the end of the first half against Oklahoma State, the green and gold led 8-2. They furthered that advantage even more in the third and fourth quarters and moved their all-time series record over the Cowgirls to 6-1.

After a small break, OBU was even more decisive in its win against the Stars. The green and gold reeled off the first 11 points of the game before OCU notched its first point at the end of the third quarter.

“We’re still working on our strategy, but our young women are improving their execution,” Stiles added. “

Next weekend, the Bison will head to the Oklahoma City University Invitational and play Texas Tech, Texas, Texas Women’s and Maryville. “We’re going to make some small adjustments to improve and hopefully come out with wins in those games,” Stiles concluded.
