Northwestern Oklahoma State Women’s Golf completed their first Spring 2023 invitational on Tuesday in Arkansas in the Natural State Golf Classic. Northwestern placed 10th in the classic after totaling a 670 following a 335 score each round. 

Leading the Rangers was Jalen Castle after finishing 14th overall in the Golf Classic. Castle shot a 77 in round one and an 80 in round two totaling 157 for +8 in the classic. Castle finished with two birdies overall in the classic. 

 Madison Masch placed 34th overall in the classic and was second for the Rangers after shooting a 168 (81, 87). Masch shot three straight birdies on round one. 

Third for the Rangers was Samantha Friday who improved four spots in day two and by 10 strokes. After a 91 in day one Friday finished with an 81 in round two for a total of 172. 

Angela Egger shot a 173 (86, 87) placing tied for 46th overall in the classic. 

Overall Central Missouri took first in the classic with a final of 615 (313, 302) followed by Drury and Southern Nazarene to round out the top three. Shehna Akbary was the leader of the classic finishing with a 146 score with a 74 and a 72. 

Next for the Women’s Golf team is the Diffee Ford Lincoln Invitational in Edmond, Oklahoma at the Lincoln Park Golf Club hosted by Southern Nazarene.
