Of the 3,178 citizens living in Okemah in 2019, 2,421 were old enough to vote as of Jan. 26, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

The bureau reported 1,209 of those people were female and 1,212 were male.

Data for this story was compiled from the bureau’s American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.
