On Friday, March 13, Adams State Grizzlies, featuring former Shawnee High School standout Amaya Martinez, were defeated 67-62 by the UCCS Mountain Lions in the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament.

The contest was held at Kitty Magee Arena at 7:30 p.m. and marked Adams State’s tournament debut against UCCS.
